  If I remember correctly, it might have been a touch pricey for the budget-conscious traveller, but VERY well worth the experience.

  The service was excellent and so was the food! New owners this year revamped the menu and it's mouth watering! Recommend the Sticky Taffy Pooding for dessert. MAKE RESERVATIONS FOR DINNER! Otherwise you'll not get in. ENJOY!

  Java Jacks is fantastic. You have to check it out if you're passing through Rocky Harbour. It was the most memorable restaurant from my entire trip in Newfoundland.

  The staff was great, and the menu interesting. I still remember what we ordered - Salmon and scallops. Both items were incredibly delicious (pan-fried I believe?) and had a golden brown coating on them. Very tasty.

  The restaurant is small, so seating would difficult to come by on a busy evening. Luckily, we were there in the off season so we walked right in.

  The dark roast has a smokey flavour and high acidity - not my favourite but it was enjoyable. The classic bacon and eggs tasted like home. Like the cozy atmosphere. However, if you are after good coffee, paninis and pastries, I would go to Old Town in Norris Point.
